Seriously, This morning when I checked my voicemail, I got some bad news. Not as drastic as the headline above, but nearly as traumatic. After a year of planning, building, preparing, etc, Motoguy has been taken off the roster.
He's OK, but last night, for reasons that I am sure even he is questioning, he decided to go for a short ride on his modern bike, a Suzuki 400. As luck would have it, he caught a rut, got some air, and his shifter foot took the brunt of an impact with a Northwest tree. No broken bones, but numerous damaged ligaments to the point of crutches for the next two weeks.
You must understand, he made it about 12 miles last year due to the roasted rat sleeping in his exhaust pipe. This year the bike is prepped, loaded, and ready to ride, it just needs a pilot.
Just goes to show that this is a dangerous sport, even when you are careful and take all the precautions.
