Well - we made it to Monticello, Dave and Gary coming in from Pocatello via Moab
Vance, Joe, Anthony, Robert and Nick coming in from a restless night in Cuba, Colorado.
Due to some scheduling mishaps, Gary and Dave ended up driving the truck back to Moab to leave it with Motoguy to ferry back to Pocatello, and then ride their bikes down the highway from Moab to Monticello.
Dave's Honda proved to be a good photo platform - the above taken at about 55 mph. It proved to be a good test, as the old DT400 was in need of a jet change to deal with moving from sea level to about 6,000 feet of elevation.
Anthony's bike was as amazing as it had appeared in the internet pictures, even more so. Starts and runs like a new bike. We are a bit worried that we may have difficulty sneaking it past the Missile Tracking station up in the LaSalle Montains! As you can see, it is sharing a hotel room!
The weather was sunny and 75 degrees, and tomorrow looks to be a bit cooler with a chance of some light shower action. We are more worried about getting over the LaSalle passes as there looks to still be some snow up there.
All looks in order for an 0830 departure from Monticello. Watch the GPS blog page to see where we end up!
